Ingredients

1 stick of butter, room temp

3 tbps sugar

2 tbps honey

1 tsp vanilla

1 egg

1 cup whole wheat flour

1 cup all purpose flour

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp baking powder

Directions

Step 1:

In a large bowl add butter, sugar, honey, and mix with a hand or stand mixer. Add egg and vanilla and slowly beat until combined and creamy.

Step 2:

In the same bowl add both flours, cinnamon, and baking powder. Hand knead until combined.

Step 3:

Cover dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

This step makes the dough easier to roll and cut when slightly cooled.

Step 4:

Preheat oven to 350F. Flour the surface and roll out dough. Around a 1/4 inch.

Step 5:

Use animal cookie cutters to cut and design dough.

Step 6:

Bake at 350 for 8-10 mins. Let cool and serve. Store in an airtight container in refrigerator.
